In their words.
The location on the main square overlooking the water and walking distance to many waterfront seafood restaurants can’t be beat. Iztok, and his lovely parents could not have been more welcoming and accommodating of our many requests and questions.

We had the perfect stay! Beautiful place in a great location, very clean and modern room with a comfortable bed. The pictures don’t do justice for this place.
It’s amazing and the owners are super kind and helpful.

How do I book a stay at Benečanka?
Benečanka is present on selected booking platforms. Guests are also welcome to write to us directly for availability and details at benecanka.rooms@gmail.com or +386 31 229 979 (Iztok Senčar).
We will be happy to answer any questions about your stay and take care of any special requests.
Is Benečanka suitable for a longer stay?
Yes, especially if you enjoy moving slowly. Many guests stay several nights to explore the wider region, return to the house between excursions, and let the days unfold naturally. If you’re considering a longer stay, write to us and we’ll help shape it.
Where exactly are you located?
Benečanka is located directly on Tartini Square, in the heart of Piran’s old town. Everything - the sea, galleries, cafés, evening walks - begins at the front door.
Is there parking nearby?
Piran is a pedestrian town, so parking is located just outside the old town. Before arrival, we’ll guide you through parking, access and timing, so the experience feels smooth from the very first moment. This is something our guests often appreciate and mention afterwards. Our goal is for your stay to begin and end calmly, without unnecessary stress.
What languages do you speak?
We communicate comfortably in English and Slovene, and can assist in other languages such as German and Italian when needed.
Is Benečanka suitable for families or children?
Benečanka is best suited for adults, couples and travelers who enjoy calm, space and small details. Families with older children who appreciate the atmosphere are welcome, but the house is not designed as a family hotel. If you’re unsure, feel free to write to us and we’ll advise honestly.
Is Benečanka suitable for people with limited mobility?
Due to the historic nature of the building, Benečanka does not have an elevator. As a protected heritage house, an elevator cannot be installed, and stairs are part of the experience. We understand that this can be challenging and want to be transparent about it from the start.
That said, we always do our best to assist guests where possible. If you have concerns about mobility, we warmly encourage you to write to us before booking so we can honestly assess whether the stay would be comfortable for you.
How private is the stay?
Very. With only two suites and no public corridors or shared hotel areas, most guests describe the stay as feeling more like a private residence than accommodation. It is also possible to reserve the entire house for exclusive use.
Is breakfast included and can you help with reservations?
Yes, and more than that. Benečanka is closely connected with the café right next to it, where breakfast can be included as part of your stay. The café offers a range of beautifully prepared options, and breakfast arrangements are discussed when you inquire, so we can adapt them to your preferences.
We’re also happy to assist with lunch and dinner reservations, as well as planning meals and experiences around your stay, whether in Piran or the wider region.
Is it noisy at night, since the house is located on Tartini square?
Benečanka is located in the heart of Piran, where life happens. especially during warmer months and events. That said, evenings tend to quiet down naturally, and the house itself offers a sense of retreat once inside. Most guests describe the experience as lively by day and calm by night.

No reservation is needed for a short visit.
Can the gallery or balcony be reserved privately?
Yes, the gallery and balcony are often chosen for small, meaningful moments such as engagement proposals, pre-wedding or symbolic ceremonies, intimate wedding gatherings private business meetings, protocol or representative visits, baby showers and other private celebrations, small tastings or curated experiences or just private toasts overlooking Tartini Square.
